New Title Cards

After much deliberation, we've determined that adding new genres would destroy the gameplay mechanics. So new title card ideas will need to fit within the four current genres: RPG, Shooter, Music and Fighting. For Title Cards, the artwork is more important than the name. So it's not enough to simply come up with a clever play on words, you also need to conceptualize how the art will look on the card. At the same time, the name shouldn't be so ambiguous or obscure that people can't figure out which game is being parodied.

Also, when using the names of characters in Title Cards, make sure that those characters can actually appear in those games. For instance, Pixel's name can appear in Music and Fighting titles but not RPG's. Pink Gorilla of course can appear in any game.

New Required Gear Cards

In the current deck, there is only a single image for each Required Gear. We'd like to add more variation. New Required Gear Card images can either be parodies of items found in actual videogames or just oddball items that are funny in and of themselves. For instance, a new Vehicle might be a parody of a Chocobo from Final Fantasy or a new Accessory might be the kazoo.

New Power Ups and Special Abilities

We've heard stories of Dev Kit users making up their own Power Up and Special Ability cards, and now we'd like for you to share those ideas. As a basic rule, Power Ups are one time use cards, so they should be pretty powerful. By contrast, Special Ability cards grant you the ability for the rest of the game and score you points so they should be only mildly powerful.

New Card Classes

The Dev Kit expansion will include all sorts of new card types. All of our ideas are currently under wraps and guarded fiercely by the Pinky G Team Ninja Suppressors. Although we're close to finalizing these new cards, there is still plenty of time to make changes or add entirely new cards that we hadn't even considered.
