If you've never been to Pink Gorilla before, you wouldn't know that it sits at the base of a staircase that leads to two cozy and super popular izakaya (Fort St. George and Maekawa Bar). Not only are they a popular hang out for the locals, they're a favorite after-hour dinner spot and hang out for PG staff. In the early days, as the PG staff toiled late into the night to get the store up and running, many a drunken bar-goer stumbled down those stairs and banged on our doors. Likewise, many a drunken PG staffer stumbled up those stairs and banged on their doors for more drinks. Naturally, a Pink Gorilla drink was needed.

Over the New Year's Holiday, Pink Gorilla hosted a contest at Fort St. George to create the first Pink Gorilla drink. Six bartenders entered. One champion was crowned.

The competition was tight with many cool concoctions but none could match "the fire." Congratulations Keith!!!!- drinks are on us!
