Pink Gorilla Dev Kit: The Ultimate Trading Card Game

DEVbanner1.gifWelcome to the headquarters for information on Pink Gorilla's upcoming trading card game, Pink Gorilla Dev Kit! Come here for information on the look, feel, and gameplay of Pink Gorilla's latest achievement. Check back as we update the site with tons o' Pink Gorilla Dev Kit info such as character bios, FAQ's and card previews.

So what is Pink Gorilla Dev Kit? It is a card game that magically transforms you, Joe (or Joella) Gamer, into Miyamoto or Kojima by presenting you with the opportunity to develop your own videogame. Everyone's making videogames. Why not you?

What is a Trading Card Game?

A trading card game, or collectible card game (CCG), is a deck of cards where each card carries unique properties. If you've ever played Magic: The Gathering or the Pokemon TCG, or even Old Maid or poker, then you have what it takes to play Pink Gorilla Dev Kit!

Does That Mean I Have To Buy A Bunch of Booster Packs and Other Crap Just to Play?

No! Everything you need to play Pink Gorilla Dev Kit with up to four players is included in the main 106 card deck! You only need to purchase the main deck to start developing your favorite videogames.

So Does That Mean That I Won't Be Able to Upgrade My Deck?

DEVbanner2.gifNo! Pink Gorilla Dev Kit can be "upgraded" with new game titles, characters, weapons, and other items. For the most part, these planned upgrades will not affect gameplay, but give you the freedom to customize your deck just the way you want it. For example, import gaming fans might want to stack their deck with Japan exclusive titles, whereas a Kojima fan might want to collect all of the Metal Gear title cards, etc.

People who Pre-Order their Pink Gorilla Dev Kit will receive two special edition cards to add to their decks. Be sure to check back soon for some sneak previews of other cards that will be available soon.

Oh Crap! Does That Mean People Who Get Special Cards will Have An Advantage Over Me?

NO! The beauty of the Pink Gorilla Dev Kit is that everyone uses the same deck in a game!

So Hook Me Up Already! How Can I Get My Own Dev Kit?

Patience, fledgling game developer! Pink Gorilla Dev Kit just went gold and is set to debut at this year's Penny Arcade Expo! Pink Gorilla will have dedicated Game Developers in the PAX Tabletop room showing people how to play all weekend! So come check it out.

Keep an eye on this spot as well, as we'll be divulging game play tips and card designs throughout the next two weeks!

I bought a deck at PAX. This game is REALLY fun when you get into it. The first game when rules are being explained is meh. But 2nd game on, you can let loose and it gets really silly.

I have a question though. I bought it at PAX. Did my deck get the two special preorder cards? What are they?

Both of the special preorder cards were included with decks sold at PAX. Look for the cards with the 'gold star' in the top left corner.
