Famitsu Reports Worldwide Console Sales Figures
Famitsu loves their sales figures. While their weekly publication trumpets market reports for Japan, very rarely does Famitsu report on the worldwide numbers. In a recent issue, however, Famitsu revealed worldwide hardware and software figures for the major consoles for the period covering April 1, 2006 to December 31, 2006. Read on. The global market leaders might surprise you.
The number of units sold for the last three quarters of 2006 and total units sold to date since system launch are reported below, with the sales totals shown in brackets.
